This song collection tells of the story of the birth of Jesus. The lyrics and music in this songbook are original compositions by Colin McCrow. Each song is written from a different perspective, The angels, the shepherds, King Herod, Mary, Joseph – and even the donkey! The songs reflect the interaction of each character with the baby Jesus and how we may view this marvellous event, God amongst us. While these songs span many years of song writing most of these pieces came about when I was involved in the live music program at the Brisbane Road to Bethlehem event. As I always prefer to sing original compositions, a number of these songs came quickly allowing me to add new songs to the program each night over the three-day event. It was great to be a part of this program and to be able to run a thirty-minute slot made up entirely of original compositions. As always, it is God who inspires, and I thank Him for the inspiration behind these songs.
